Working for the preservation of traditional cultures and Alaska wild salmon has been a life-changing experience. The EPC team led by Dune Lankard and Carol Hoover has helped save more than 942,000 acres of old-growth rainforest and halted destructive development in a pristine ecosystem, helping preserve a way of life for the Eyak people and keep their language from extinction. Their most recent accomplishment has retired and kept in the ground over 62,000-acres of coal and placed it the Native Conservancy land trust. This action was also dovetailed with the largest carbon-offset transaction in Alaska in 2017.
